THURSDAY THUNKS

1. You walk into a room, someone turns and looks at you and laughs. What do you do?

- Check myself in the mirror, if all is good, ask WTF?


2. You find an egg, take it home and keep it warm. It hatches. What type of dinosaur is it? Do you keep it and name?

- It's a T-rex and we name it Buddy like on Dinosaur Train.


3. Which superhero would you want to be related to and why?

- Superman. He could fly me places.


4. A drunken sailor comes up to you on the pier...he begins harassing you in a most repulsive way....what'll be your defense?

- Push him off the pier.


5. Entering a CLASS A piano bar, you're encouraged to sing atop the grand instrument...you grab the microphone and sing.....

- A lullaby - it's probably the only thing I can remember all the words to!


6. If you were a character in a Dr. Seuss book/movie, who would you be and why?

- The cat in the hat - crazy and fun.


7. If you have just been called to be a substitute in the Winter Olympics for your country (apparently everyone else was busy), what sport(s) will you compete in?

-I wish I could say Hockey so I could play against Sid & Flower, but I can't skate. Is there an olympic sled riding? :)


8. Did the audience from the piano bar in question #5 applaud when you were done with your song?

- Of course, everyone loves 'you are my sunshine'

Is it just me or is this the worst design for underwear that you have ever seen?

Finding Joy

So it's been a very long time since I posted. Sorry. :) But with the Holidays and all, it's hard to find time. But I came across a lovely little contest at Barking Mad with the winner getting a bad ass $300 Target GC. So I break the silence and enter to win all at once. A win-win, no?

So her questions was, "What brings you joy?" Simple, like me. Here's a few things that bring a smile to my face and a flutter to my heart.

1) My son. (and hubby and family)



He's just so amazing and wonderful. He's learning something new every day and it's absolutely breath-taking to watch.

2) Clouds.


Yep. It's that easy. I love clouds. Big, fluffy white dreamy clouds. Dark, thunderous ones. I just think they are beautiful.

3) Laughing.

I can't help but laugh when I hear someone else laughing hysterically. A smile on another's face can put a smile on mine. And I love that.

I think the main thing with Joy is simply finding it in the simplest places. Being able to see beauty in the mundane and happiness in the mediocre.
